Doug is a multi-faceted entrepreneur whose business have raised tens of millions in investor capital in a variety of industries, while building and delivering world-class technologies into the Fortune 500 and national security sectors of multiple countries.  Currently, Doug Britton is EVP and Chief Strategy Officer of RunSafe Security and a member of its board of directors. As RunSafe’s CSO, Doug plays an essential role in showcasing how RunSafe’s technology changes the economics of cyber defense, and he has been instrumental in driving the RunSafe technology strategy and roadmap, the development of its patent portfolio and IP strategy, managing software development teams, and building a world-class security research team.  Prior to RunSafe Security, Doug founded Kaprica Security which sold its Tachyon business to Samsung. He has also managed large-scale security research, reverse engineering, and exploit development programs for Lockheed Martin.  Additionally, Doug is a founder in North American Wave Engine Corporation (wave-engine.com) and Haystack Solutions (haystacksolutions.com)

A trained computer scientist, Doug started his career in the National Center for Supercomputing Applications at the University of Illinois, before serving as a Russian Linguist and Interrogator in the US Army. He has also earned an MBA from University of Maryland and mentors several entrepreneurs and students launching their business.

As an entrepreneur, Doug's focus is on technologies and products with the potential to disrupt the economics of staid industries.  More specifically, technologies that allow a similar level of productive output with radically less capital, radically less real estate, or radically fewer people.  Technologies that have the potential to improve processes by 1,000% or 10,000% might be able to survive the rigors of commercialization.  Doug helps inventors and entrepreneurs with the challenge of packaging a technology for the market.
